Every Woman's Right
Have you given up on trying to embrace your desire to be and feel beautiful? Have you ever even given yourself permission to feel sexy and beautiful? I think every woman has the right to pursue and experience these emotions for themselves and I want to help you get there.
It makes me sad that so many women were not given permission to embrace these aspects of themselves in the environments in which they were raised. It makes me sad that so many women were taught to feel shame when it came to their beauty and their bodies. This was often due to the mortifying actions and behavior of family members or other people close to them who were supposed to be there to protect them, and love them in a way that built up their self-esteem and confidence, not in a way that tore it down. It makes me sad that society has somehow seemed to create a standardized test of what it means to be sexy and beautiful. And it really makes me sad that so many women have fallen victim (including myself) to believing that this standardized test is the only way to accurately determine whether they are passing or failing.
I'm sad about these things but being sad gets us nowhere. There is no power behind sadness, and it is time that we as women, take back our power despite whatever may have happened to us in our pasts, and despite what "society" says about being sexy and beautiful!
We are a part of that society and as long as we buy into those ideas we are contributing to the problem. It's time to take back our control and do whatever we can to build our confidence and self-esteem, because that is where true beauty comes from.
As adults, we have the power to make changes that need to be made. We have the power to choose what we think about and what we focus on. I am in no way saying that this is easy, but I am saying that it is possible, and within our control, to do what needs to be done.
What I wish more than anything is that ANY women out there lacking confidence, not feeling sexy, or not feeling beautiful, stop and think about why. What is holding you back? What is keeping you from taking the steps to feel more confident? What is keeping you from changing your thought patterns and changing your actions a little at a time? This is not about the size of your body, or a number on a scale. It's not about how long or short your hair is or about the color of your eyes. This is about doing things for ourselves that honor our selves, that make us realize we are worth the time and the effort. This is about doing things that make us happy and listening to our inner desires. This is about self-respect and self-love.
No matter what we have experienced, no matter what we have survived, we can always change how we look at it. The changes won't make our history go away, but what it can do is revitalize our souls. It's time for some extreme love... extreme SELF love!
The bottom line is that we are all responsible for how we think and the actions we take TODAY. There are no excuses. I have already started down this road. I know firsthand that tools exist to help us on this path. I've experienced firsthand the impact they can have and the difference they can make and I want to share them with you!
We have the ability to change our lives for the better. We have the ability to change our expectations, to allow ourselves to want and be more. We have the ability to experience pride and accomplishment. We have the ability to feel confident and content. I want to be the person to guide you through your journey, to help you finally find your way. It's time for you to exercise your rights and fulfill the obligations you have to yourself to feel sexy, vibrant and beautiful.
